Seattle comes away with the victory: Steve Largent press conference

Post by Anthony93 on Sun Sep 21, 2014 2:11 am

In what was an incredibly hard fought, full team victory the Seattle Seahawks come away with a big win at home versus the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys came into the game 4-1 and played extremely sound football in all aspects of the game, but it wasn't quite enough to pull out the win against the Seahawks, falling 31-28.

Although Russell Wilson had another questionable game passing with 4 interceptions to 1 td pass, all afternoon the Seahawks seemed to make plays exactly when they needed to. The Seattle running attack gained more than 200 yards on the ground and the Legion of Boom played high intensity ball hawking defense forcing 6 turnovers which included 3 defensive touchdowns.

Here's what Head Coach Steve Largent had to say about the win:
"First off hats off to The Dallas Cowboys, they are a great football team that we barely beat. We were out coached and I as the offensive play caller of this football team, have got to do a better job calling plays that help us finish drives more efficiently, I think we had 2 interceptions in the redzone, that can't happen and I'll take responsibility for that, we've been trying to keep Russell Wilson in the pocket more and let him make plays with his arm and we'll be putting a lot of extra work into protecting the ball in the red area.
Injury report we have a few scratches and dings but everyone is still healthy and we are very pleased about that. Our running game finally came alive in todays game, between Marshawn Lynch and Russell going for over 200 yards, Percy Harvin had a big game with around 200 yards receiving, we're excited about that. Our defense won this football game for us, we had 6 turnovers and we were able to take 3 of the turnovers in for scores. The special teams played horrible, and our 4 interceptions in the passing game really hurt us and if we plan on winning another game this season we have got to get this fixed and we will."
