Seattle Seahawks new editions

Upon a late night meeting between Coach Steve Largent, Seahawks ownership and Safety Ed Reed a decision was made to bring the veteran Safety to Seattle to join the Legion of Boom. The contract is for 1 year although coach Steve Largent mentioned wanting to keep Ed around for the remainder of his career if he makes the decision to remain in the NFL after this season.

Ed Reed had this to say: "I want to thank the Seattle Seahawks and coach Steve Largent for the opportunity to play here. I feel right at home here in Seattle already, I have a clear understanding of their method of playing defense and I feel I am going to be able to assist my teammates immediately. I am honored to be playing on with this group of guys backing up Earl Thomas who is arguably the best in the game right now at the safety position. I feel like I'm going to be able to bring a lot of experience and wisdom to the secondary which may possibly help the team. I'm looking forward to competing out there with this team."
